Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics

Friends of University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics is a non-profit organization that funds programs and services to improve the lives of the patients and families we serve and support special health-related needs in Dane County.

Whether it's donating $1 million to the American Family Children's Hospital or providing wigs at no charge to patients undergoing treatment for cancer or other illnesses, our programs offer assistance and make a difference to those in need.

Friends of University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics was formed in 1973 to provide resources and support programs to improve the lives of patients and their families. Since then, more than $5.5 million has been raised, making a difference for many individuals and families.

The gala included the inspirational words of featured speaker and world-renowned deep sea explorer Dr. Robert Ballard, discoverer of the Titanic wreckage, as well as a silent auction with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, dinner and “After Party” with a coffee and dessert bar and live entertainment.

All proceeds benefit American Family Children's Hospital. Gala attendees also watched a video that helped them get to know the Children's Hospital.
